Our Mission

Abide & Dwell exists to serve people in ministry by providing support, rest and healing, leading them to abide in Christ and remain rooted in their calling.

The gospel is spreading across the globe. We are interceding continuously for His Spirit to move in power. When you are living out a life of deeper ministry you are called to steward His magnificent presence and to carry out His great commission. And that work of ministry comes with deep challenges and needs. We far too often see the needs of missionaries and pastors cause them to burn out or even leave their calling.

We primarily provide rest and healing to missionaries and pastors. And we know that God wants to provide everything that they need. If anyone in ministry is in need of anything and the Lord opens a door for us to serve them — we will do it!

Why are we on this mission?

We are seeing revival in the global context, but we are also seeing many missionaries and pastors leave their calling. We believe this is due to many reasons. But we find burnout, need for healing and lack of support are at the top in our current time and culture.

Between 50-250 pastors left ministry daily during the height of the pandemic and the number is still in the negative.

The current average that a missionary stays a missionary is 3-6 years. In 2018 it was 7-12 years. And further we see the numbers have been decreasing for a while.

We believe that the Lord wants missionaries, pastors and ministry leaders healthy, rested and ready to steward the kingdom growing all over the world.

Abide & Dwell is here to serve the servants, shepherd the shepherds and give life to the life givers. We dream of seeing sustained multiplication for every ministry in the body of Christ – and everyone serving those ministries living lives of supernatural rest.

How are we carrying this mission out?

Most of the ways we serve missionaries and pastors revolves around rest and healing.

We have created a 4 day guided retreat that, through ministry time and curriculum, helps you find rest & healing and leads you to cultivate a lifestyle of supernatural rest. We call these Rest Journeys. Learn more about our Rest Journeys here.

We do sabbatical coaching and guide those who need a elongated time of rest and renewal through our sabbatical guide. If you are interested in finding out more about taking a sabbatical through us you can email us to schedule a meeting and talk through your needs and options. jordan@abideanddwell.com

We provide silent retreats for those wanting to take a short break from the distractions of the world, work and life in order to hear the voice of the Lord clearly.

We also love serving missionaries and pastors relationally. Building relationship through meeting together, praying together and serving each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

We have also served by: leading initiatives for ministries, leading missionaries through debriefings, equipping and empowering through prayer and worship, teaching on sabbath and supernatural rest, serving and helping to understand inner healing and deliverance. And really anything that the Lord wants– if He speaks to us, and it’s serving someone in ministry, we will do it!

Our Vision

The Lord brings us near to Him so that we can dwell, or live and rest, in His courts and worship in His temple in every moment. He calls us to this continuously.

Every person in ministry can release control and trust God with every moment. He faithfully provides what is needed—care for the heart, rest, and healing. Our vision is to see an awakening among missionaries and pastors worldwide, knowing they lack nothing according to His riches and glory.

1. Relationally

Connecting with and ministering to the called who have a need. You can’t make or serve disciples without true relationship. We give life to the life givers and shepherd the shepherds.

2. Regionally

Through building unity in the body of Christ at Abide Worship Nights, Dwell Unity dinners, Abide & Dwell Prayer Nights at Niagara Falls House of Prayer, teaching & preaching appostolically and building prayer & healing ministries.

3. Transformationally

Through our rest & healing journeys. We walk people in ministry through hand-crafted curriculum created for you uniquely to have moments of real “shabbat” where supernatural rest is discovered.

4. Globally

Through providing respite for missionaries, pastors and ministry leaders who are reaching the corners of the globe for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Story

Abide & Dwell - McLeod Family pictureAbide & Dwell was co-founded by Jordan and Allie McLeod in 2023 as a ministry restoration movement.

Through years of working across churches, ministries, and worship environments, they witnessed widespread burnout, fatigue, trauma, and a loss of genuine devotion among ministry leaders. Their own journey carried similar wounds—Jordan even walked away from following Jesus for a season.

In 2017–2018, everything changed. Jordan recommitted his life to the Lord, and through the Holy Spirit their marriage was restored, depression lifted, and their ministry calling renewed.

The five years that followed became a season of deep spiritual formation. Within their church family at Sozo Nashville, they found healing, discipleship, and clarity of calling as they learned to lead in worship, unity, reconciliation, rest, and healing. A return to full-time ministry became unmistakable.

Abide & Dwell is the fruit of that journey—born from brokenness, shaped by encounter, and sustained by God’s presence. Their mission now centers on reconciliation among churches and ministry workers, unity in the body of Christ, supernatural rest in the demands of ministry, and the deep healing needed to keep going. Jordan and Allie long to see true revival in our day and to support those stewarding the work of the Spirit. Their prayer is to see many embrace their ministry calling and remain (abide) in it where God has placed them (dwell).

Today, the McLeods serve Western New York in their apostolic call through Abide & Dwell. They are part of the leadership team for the Niagara Falls House of Prayer. Jordan also serves as Worship Pastor at Life Church Buffalo, where Allie serves as Prayer Coordinator.
